Adicio in the Community

Adicio employees actively contribute time, money and services to local charities throughout San Diego. Adicio supports these efforts by giving employees two half days off a year that they can use to support charities of their choice.

Adicio has donated more than $100,000 to charities in the San Diego community over the past several years. Adicio CEO & President Rick Miller has personally provided for the education of several children in need to ensure that they have the best education possible to help them stop the cycle of poverty.

Charities include the Casa de Amparo, which provides child abuse prevention/remediation programs such as a 24-hour children's shelter; a daily preschool child development center; supervised family visitation services, and a counseling program; the San Diego Blood Bank, which is the primary supplier of blood to hospitals in the county; and Kick for a Cure, 6-v-6 Charity Soccer Tournament & Festival to benefit children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in San Diego.

Additional charities include The Fraternity House and Michaelle’s House, which provide warm and caring facilities where men and women disabled by HIV/AIDS can receive comprehensive care and services in order to rebuild their health and return to independent living, or where they can spend their last days in comfort and dignity; the Bread of Life Rescue Mission, which is a Christian organization devoted to meeting the needs of the working poor and homeless in North San Diego County; Angels Depot, which provides hundreds of senior citizens living in poverty with "Senior Food-for-a-Week" Emergency Meal Boxes monthly; and Toys for Tots, which collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the San Diego community.
